DVC Course Advisor is an AI-powered course planning assistant for Diablo Valley College students. It provides course information, grade distributions, workload data, instructor ratings, and scheduling suggestions based on publicly available DVC course data. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Diablo Valley College.

3. AI-Generated Content

DVC Course Advisor uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You should not rely solely on DVC Course Advisor for academic decisions. Always verify important information with official DVC resources, your academic advisor, or the Registrar's Office.

4. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Course data including grades, evaluations, workload ratings, and instructor information is sourced from historical records and may not reflect current or future offerings. We do not guarantee that any course will be offered in a specific term, taught by a particular instructor, or maintain the same grade distribution.

5. User Accounts

You may sign in using your @dvc.edu Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Anonymous users may use the Service with limited access. We reserve the right to limit or terminate accounts at our discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for academic dishonesty, including but not limited to homework or exam assistance
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically download data from the Service
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
• Share or distribute content from the Service in a misleading manner

7. Intellectual Property

The DVC Course Advisor name, logo, and interface design are proprietary. Course data is derived from publicly available sources. You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., transcript uploads), which is processed solely to provide personalized recommendations.

8. Limitation of Liability

DVC Course Advisor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to academic outcomes, course selection decisions, or reliance on AI-generated information.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
